Health Education -.In order to achieve an healthy lifestyle people should be aware of the importance of the main issues related to health. In this seminar we tried to explain to the participants what an healthy lifestyle consists of and what are the main problems related to health in the nowadays society.
Healthy Food - We focused a lot on the importance of food, since we believed that an healthy lifestyle starts from there. In this seminar we illustrated how important is choosing good and seasonal food for our health.
Healthy Thinking – This was a very interesting topic in my opinion. The correct way of thinking is a crucial aspect of everybody’s life in order to live well, because many disorders derive from wrong mental habits. So we explained what eating disorders are and how to recognize and handle stress.
Healthy Body – In this seminar we distinguished the main types of body constitutions and we explained what Metabolism is and how it changes according to the gender, age and lifestyle of each person. We also talked about Kilocalories and the amount of energy that each type of body requires.
Healthy Exercise - We tried to make the participants aware of the importance of being active, possibly by practicing some sports, or even practicing some daily physical exercises, such as walking or riding bicycle. We listed the benefits of having an active lifestyle both for our mind and body.
Healthy Cooking- In this seminar we presented some recipes from our countries and we explained why some of them were unhealthy, whereas others were healthy. We gave some basic advises, such as replacing butter with olive oil. Generally speaking we tried to suggest how to replace unhealthy ingredients with more healthy ones.
Healthy Nutrients – Each food has different nutrients and some of them have benefits that others do not have. In this seminar we illustrated where to find certain types of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients and what they are good for.
Healthy Treatment – In this seminar we talked about some basic treatments that can be adopted in order to deal with common disorders or diseases. We wanted to make the participants aware of the possibility to employ natural remedies against some simple health problems instead of using chemical substances or medicines.
Healthy Aging – Aging is something that first or later will affect all of us. In this seminar we suggested some healthy foods and habits that could retard the aging and live more happily in the third age.
Healthy Day – This seminar was a kind of summing up of the past ones. We went again through what we explained before, highlighting the importance of choosing the right quantity and quality of food each day and of having a routine which includes physical activity.
